What I like About My CBSE School in Ahmedabad

“School is a building which has four walls with tomorrow inside.” My mother keeps telling me this, I didn’t know the meaning until I started growing up in Sattva Vikas. For me it is a school that is building mine and many more students’ success tomorrow.

I am studying in grade 4 in this wonderful edutemple since nursery. It is just my effort to show my journey.

I like my school very much. My school is amongst the most renowned institutions of the state. It comes first in the smart school of India, which makes me feel proud. It has a nature-friendly environment which teaches and augments me to be a better human being. Being in nature or even viewing the beauty of nature reduces our stress and increases happiness quotient and makes us calmer and more balanced. Generally, our first class is GAMES, where we are taught different activities like BasketBall, Table Tennis, Karate, Kho-Kho and many more. We can enjoy both indoor and outdoor games. It is the best beginning of our day.

The best thing about my school is that it follows a no bag, no homework, no tuition system which relieves stress from the study system. We don’t have any burden on our shoulders. All the study material is provided by the school management. Not only this, but we are also given the facility of mid-day meals with adequate and good quality.

We can follow our passions and engage ourselves in co-curricular activities. Arrangements are made to focus on all-round development and help us to attain our dreams. Not only this, but our school teaches us manners and goodwill, imbues good qualities in us.

The other unique feature of our school is the single grade section. It gives us the advantage of having personal attention from the teachers. Limited students lead to proper care and attention.

Our school keeps us in touch with our culture by celebrating all the festivals and events irrespective of religion. This helps us to be social and keeps our enthusiasm intact. Each and every student is given an equal opportunity to participate in all the events. Throughout the year various competitions like Elocution, Story Telling, Poem Recitation, Sattva’s Got Talent, Master Chef, Pearls on Paper and more are organized to uplift the skills within us.

I am very glad to have an opportunity to study in Sattva Vikas – Best CBSE school in Ahmedabad and build a strong foundation.

The pioneer of Thematic Learning in Early Childhood Education

The pioneer of Thematic Learning in Early Childhood Education

The NEP’ 2020’s Focus on Early Childhood Education Can Help Children Live up to Their Potential. It defines Early Childhood, as the years from birth to age eight – a critical period that sets the stage for a child’s growth and learning pathway. Research from neurobiology and cognitive development suggests that 90% of brain development occurs in the first six years of life. During these years, vital development in emotional control, motor, cognitive, language, and number skills occur systematically, with acquisition of simpler abilities paving the way for more complex ones. Therefore, when it comes to improving educational, socio-emotional and economic outcomes, early childhood offers a unique window of opportunity to implement programs that can be more  impactful than those targeting older age groups. Hence during this most vital period children must explore schooling in a warm and caring environment like Sattva Vikas School where each child learns at his/her own pace, where each child is treated as a unique learner.

The Reggio Emilia Philosophy is an innovative and inspiring approach to early childhood education, which values the child as strong, capable and resilient; rich with wonder and knowledge. The Reggio Emilia Philosophy is an approach to early childhood education accepted worldwide. The Philosophy rides on the principles of the inborn curiosity of children and aims to assist them with understanding their world and who they are in it. The philosophy simply guides the decisions of teachers in how they approach education. The three core principles of the Reggio Emilia philosophy: the child, the environment, and the teacher.

The Child

The Reggio Emilia philosophy values the child as central to their own learning. Children are able to pursue their own interests and revisit and build upon ideas at their own pace. You may have heard of something called the ‘100 languages of children’. This concept recognizes that children have multiple ways of thinking, playing, exploring, speaking and doing. The Reggio Emilia approach encourages children to use every tool they have to express themselves.

The Environment

A Reggio-inspired environment, often referred to as ‘the third teacher’, is one that is open and free-flowing. It enables uninterrupted exploration, play and learning. Outdoor spaces are valued just as highly as formal classrooms, and the design of the space should allow children to move freely between the two. In addition, it is important that children have free access to stimulating resources, as they cannot be the owner of their learning journey without this.

The Teacher

Teachers are encouraged to observe children rather than to direct them. It is important that children are allowed to experiment in their own way, make mistakes and find new solutions. The role of the teacher is to gently move students towards areas of interest to them, through careful observation carried out over time.

The Reggio Emilia philosophy is an integral part of education at ‘Sattva Vikas School’ nominated as one of the cbse school in ahmedabad. Quality education has always been our priority, and our pre-school curriculum is no exception. In a changing and continually improving world, use of technology has become commonplace. Not only are adults well-acquainted with it, so is our newest generation. In fact, they have been observed to take to digital technology even more organically.

In Sattva Vikas School’s Reggio settings Kindergarten kids are active constructors of knowledge, who are encouraged to be ‘researchers. Most of the educational experiences within classrooms take the form of experiential learning, wherein Sattva’s tiny tots have opportunities to actively participate, explore and question things. This perspective has been endorsed by many philosophers, who state that these different ways of thinking, exploring and learning are expressed with the use of different tools of learning through play way methods of teaching, artistic expressions, music, dance and movement, craft work, real play and drama in the classroom.  Sattva Classroom layouts are carefully planned to encourage interaction between those in the classroom and with the outdoors, and to be open-ended, offering many options for exploration to Sattva Kindergartners.

Sattva Vikas School: Expert in Child Engineering

Sattva Vikas School: Expert in Child Engineering

Children are not “empty vessels to be filled with knowledge” (as traditional pedagogical theory says). They are “active builders of knowledge-little scientists, who construct their own theories of the world.”

Here, in Sattva Vikas, we believe that telling a child what to learn is nothing but limiting the potential. Children learn by observing, listening, exploring, experimenting and asking questions. It’s our responsibility to give all the possible exposure to the young minds that thrive for exploring and learning. Their urge to be successful, encourages them to look beyond. Sattva Vikas has always acknowledged this thirst of learning as the best learning tool and utilized it in its very own well seasoned Child Engineering Program.

Sattva Vikas believes that learning is not confined to the four walls of the classroom but it is a continuous process. All learning outcomes are interwoven that help sculpting a complete personality, a being who not only thinks about an individual growth but the growth of the community, region, state, country and the world. One step leads to the other and each step leads them to be successful.

Being interested, motivated and engaged in learning is important for children. More than what to learn; emphasize should be on why they’re learning something. That’s why we don’t teach but we engineer these proactive individuals who can take-up any role and meet any challenge successfully. Creating a responsible being is not one day job but it’s a continuous cycle of learning, hardwork, failure, retrying and succeeding. That’s what according to Sattva’s philosophy, the real aim of the education is.

We at Sattva, provide a progressive learning environment. Here creative and logical thinking, decision making, exploring and innovating are the keywords that augment the accomplishment.  We have developed and followed our best, well seasoned and time-tested pedagogical learning philosophies with the spice of newness. Education here comprises of an innovative bouquet of activities that gives these millennials a taste of ultra modern dimensions of learning as well as keeping them rooted with our traditional learning patterns.

As it is quoted

‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.’

Similarly here in Sattva Vikas cbse school in ahmedabad we build independent and confident learners who are innovative and self-dependent and can meet any task headlong, and that’s what child engineering is all about.

An Ideal School Leads To Holistic Development

An Ideal Leads To Holistic Development

It is a misconception that best cbse school in Ahmedabad is a mere building where students just read, write, study and give exams to be able to earn and make a living. Today I would like to draw your attention and shatter the myth regarding A True School.

Sattva Vikas School is an extended version of Gurukool. Yes! You got it right- the traditional system of learning which is a blend of effective learning combined with holistic development of an individual. Let me give it an appropriate term; how about…Gen Z-Gurukool…The Sattvakool

Sattva Vikas is a ‘Phrontistery’ in itself focusing on each and every parameter essential for harmonized and integrative wellbeing of young scholars. Here, we have an environment that allows students to breathe in the fresh air to rejuvenate their spirits and mind; and makes them ready to explore a plethora of knowledge and wisdom.

We don’t refer to our children as students but learners; the reason being -students are called students because they study and study, fill in the information within a limited framework. But LEARNERS are a breed apart!! They learn, absorb, implement, evolve!! And we are all aware learning is a never-ending life long process. Sattva allows its Budding Learners to venture into activities beyond multiplicity.

Our learners belong to the 21st Century– totally equipped with the latest technology, the latest methodology, the latest updates and life skills.  Yet they are in sync with our rich traditions and culture. Taking pride in who we are- our learners relish ‘traditional khana’ in the school Cafeteria, play ‘Indian games’, learn finer nuances of ‘sugam sangeet’, try their hand at various forms of performing arts besides focusing on academic excellence.  Character building and development of the inner core is pivotal in Sattva philosophy.

Sattva Vikas enables its learners to not just be effective and resourceful in academic pursuits but also attempts to imbue in them the love for family values, culture and tradition. At Sattva we celebrate ‘Guru Purnima’ with a great fervor making it very clear the importance we lay on respect and integration with our edifying ideals.

At Sattva Vikas School we create GEN Z learners -equipped with vision beyond your comprehension, adaptability to the dynamic technology driven world and rooted to our culture and morality. I would not hesitate to say, “Charity begins at home, but it begins at Sattva too.”

Let me frame it correctly, an elaboration of what was said by the great scientist, Albert Einstein “Schooling creates the capacity to be a lifelong learner; the end product of which is WISDOM.”

At Sattva we strive to collaborate knowledge and wisdom. To make my point clear I share an example- Being aware that tomato is a fruit is Knowledge but, not using it in the fruit salad is Wisdom. The journey of learning at Sattva helps our learners differentiate between knowledge and wisdom. Here they are taught ‘How to think and not what to think’.

The roots keep the trees grounded and anchored to the earth and if the roots are strong a tree always remains nurtured and nourished. Its boughs spread out in all the directions.

Similarly, Sattva Vikas School provides strong Roots to its Sattvites to expand their vision and Strong Wings to soar high and adapt to the dynamism of the new core of the world.

To conclude I would say Our Sattvites are GLOCAL– the rarest combination of Local and Global and IQ and EQ.

Thank you!
